Crisis Support Stay Program

Compassionate Care for Families in Need

The C.S.S.P. is intended to encourage department wide awareness that your team is there for you. Providing temporary accommodations for First Responder families during their most challenging moments.

The Crisis Support Stay Program provides up to three nights of immediate complimentary hotel accommodations for families of first responders who have lost their loved one to suicide. This initiative offers a safe space for healing while addressing immediate emotional and logistical needs.

Overarching Goal

To provide compassionate, immediate support for first responder families in their time of need, ensuring they have a safe and private space to process their grief.

The Crisis Support Stay Program is designed to provide meaningful, immediate assistance to families, offering benefits that address both emotional and practical needs:

Families are provided with a temporary safe haven, allowing them to step away from the immediate site of the tragedy and begin processing their grief.

Avoids the logistical and emotional strain of remaining in a home tied to the trauma. Helps alleviate the burden of finding and arranging temporary accommodations during a crisis.
